I can’t help but smile whenever I see a newborn with a full, thick head of hair.
At the same time, I’m also insanely jealous — probably because this is what I looked like as an infant. (And pretty much until I was 2 years old.)
My three children have all been on the bald side, too, because genetics. My son’s hair came in so light and fuzzy that he looked bald until age 2, just like his mama. And although my middle daughter started out with a respectable amount of dark-ish newborn hair, most of it fell out and she was left looking like a balding old man. (She was always mistaken for a boy, too!) Now, my youngest daughter has the most baby hair by far. But it’s still just a thin, fuzzy covering.
So you can imagine my shock and awe when I came across this newborn’s super-long, luxurious locks. Did I mention he’s only 8 weeks old? Just look at that hair!
“When he was born it was quite thick but everybody said it would stop and that a lot of it would fall out,” Junior’s mom, Chelsea Noon, told The Mirror. “He hasn’t lost any – there’s none in the cot, none in his little chair or the pram, it’s literally just growing and it grows out not down so it sticks up.”
A shopping trip that would normally take this mama 40 minutes now takes two hours — just from strangers fawning over Junior’s impressive bouffant hairdo. Fittingly, his family has nicknamed their long-maned sweetie “Baby Bear.”
I could just gaze upon babies with gorgeous heads of hair all day, couldn’t you?
