Ronnie Wood, 68, goes classic for newborn twins’ name picks

A double-dose of congratulatory wishes are in order today for Ronnie Wood and wife Sally Humphreys, as word breaks they’ve welcomed twins!

A spokesperson told The Sun, “Ronnie & Sally Wood are delighted to announce the birth of their twins Gracie Jane (6lb) and Alice Rose (5.7lb). The girls arrived on 30th May at 10.30pm and all are doing brilliantly. The babies are perfect.”

The newborn girls are the couple’s first children together, though their the Rolling Stones rocker’s fifth and sixth children.

Ronnie Wood and Sally, who is 31 years his junior at 38-years-old, wed in 2012 after just six months of dating. Along with the girls’ arrival, the family has a birthday to celebrate coming up — the musician will turn 69 on June 1. His other children include Jesse, 39, Jamie, 41, Leah, 36, and Tyrone, 30.

During the pregnancy he told Hello! magazine he’s ready to change diapers, sharing, “I’m very good at it. I’m going to be changing the nappies and all that goes with it. I’m looking forward to all that.”

Ronnie added, “I’m unbelievably lucky and unbelievably blessed. I love all my kids. I love being a dad and to have this happening is just wonderful. I’m a lucky guy.”

The BabyCenter Names Finder lists Alice rising slightly in popularity in the last year, with approximately 2,500 babies per million being given the name. Though it’s popular, that’s nothing compared to 1906, when over 13,000 little ones were named Alice.

Comparatively, Gracie peaked in popularity in 2006, at a rate of 2,600 newborns being given the name.
