I may be just a teeny bit biased, but my babies were the most adorable babies of all time, ever.
Except for the hair.
Neither of my daughters had enviable ‘dos, but my oldest, particularly, was born rocking a permanent bad hair day. Part wispy comb-over, part bald spot, part mullet. There was no hair bow big enough to disguise it. (For the record, though: Still adorable.)
During those days we’d occasionally come across some other infant with a seemingly impossible head full of hair – bouncing curls, thick waves, on-trend up-do – and I’d feel pangs of actual jealousy. Not on behalf of my awkwardly balding baby, but on behalf of myself. These kids had the kind of hair you see in shampoo ads. They were so well-coiffed that they put my own sad, flat, permanently pony-tailed hair to shame.
A little while ago BabyCenter held a photo contest titled, “Look at those Luscious Locks,” asking parents to submit their favorite snapshots. Take a look at some of the submissions – these kids definitely hit the hair jackpot!
